Tainan International Fastener Industry Exhibition Gains Momentum; Forum Inspires New Ideas for Industry Upgrades
2025/08/18 | ByThe 2025 Tainan International Fastener Industry Exhibition, highlighting industrial transformation and manufacturing strength, entered its second day on August 15. The venue remained bustling with activity, as procurement representatives and professional visitors from both domestic and overseas markets continued to explore the comprehensive exhibition content spanning the entire fastener supply chain.
At the same time, the industry forum generated another wave of excitement. Three keynote speeches focused on industry trends, marketing strategies, and upgrade plans, offering in-depth insights and analyses. This elevated the exhibition beyond a procurement platform, turning it into a critical venue for industry professionals to exchange perspectives and explore the future together.
Organized by the Tainan City Government and co-hosted by the Economic Daily News, the exhibition runs from August 14 to 17 at the Greater Tainan Convention Center. It continues the city government’s commitment to supporting traditional industries, positioning itself as southern Taiwan’s premier fastener-focused exhibition. Covering a wide range of topics—including fastener products, manufacturing equipment, molds, surface treatments, and material applications—the event comprehensively showcases the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the fastener industry.
In addition to reflecting the transformation and upgrading trends of traditional industries in southern Taiwan, the exhibition captures the innovative momentum of smart factories and responds to the rapidly changing global supply chain, providing businesses with a comprehensive, international platform for transactions and matchmaking.
The industry forum on August 15 featured speakers from the Metal Industries Research and Development Center (MIRDC) and China Steel Corporation, focusing on development pathways for the fastener industry under global trends.
Xu Yurui, Project Manager at MIRDC, opened the session with strategies for the industry to address global economic shifts, ESG pressures, and supply chain restructuring. He urged companies to adopt energy-efficient processes and smart monitoring technologies to strengthen resilience.
Lin Chong-tien, Director of MIRDC, analyzed emerging markets and digital marketing trends, noting that Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East are rapidly becoming manufacturing hubs. He emphasized that digitalization—including brand management, social media strategies, and smart display tools—will be crucial for Taiwanese fastener makers to expand into these markets.
Liu Hongyi, Deputy General Manager of China Steel Corporation, concluded by sharing the company’s collaborative approaches to supporting industry upgrades, from material development to customized co-design, showcasing the potential of deep cooperation between China Steel and the fastener industry chain.
The forum attracted lively interaction, with attendees actively engaging in Q&A. Many remarked that they not only gained insights into global industry trends but also identified practical pathways for transformation and upgrading through the speakers’ shared experiences. Exhibitors further noted that combining the exhibition with a professional forum elevated the event from a product showcase into a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and strategic collaboration.
As the exhibition continues, more than 100 leading fastener companies are on site, displaying the latest manufacturing equipment, innovative applications, and high-precision products. This allows visitors to gain a one-stop overview of the fastener industry while highlighting Tainan’s strong industrial foundation and growing international competitiveness as a global hub.
