The largest hardware and industrial event in Taiwan — the 2025 Taiwan International Hardware Tools Expo × Hardware Industry Exhibition (TiTE×IHT) — officially opened today (October 21) at the Taichung (Shuinan) International Convention Center. As the first major exhibition to take place in Central Taiwan’s newest and largest venue, the event is drawing strong attention from local and international visitors. It also aims to capture new global business opportunities in the post-inflation era, targeting a market valued at hundreds of billions of dollars.

Taiwan — A Global Leader in Hardware Manufacturing

According to Xie Wuzhi, Chairman of the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association (THTMA), Taiwan’s hardware industry encompasses hand tools, automotive repair and parts, gardening equipment, fasteners, woodworking machinery, and machine tools.

Taiwanese manufacturers play a vital role in global supply chains across the industrial, household, aerospace, automotive, and medical sectors. The nation’s hardware exports exceed NT$350 billion annually, with mid- to high-end products holding the world’s top market share.

“Taiwan has become the world’s design and manufacturing hub for high-quality hardware products and a most reliable and stable global supply chain partner,” Xie noted. “International buyers visit Taiwan every year to source products and establish long-term cooperation.”

World-Class Manufacturing: Fast Response, On-Time Delivery

TiTE×IHT 2025 features eight themed exhibition zones covering tools and accessories, metal processing equipment, factory and industrial safety, automotive repair and EV applications, fasteners, gardening and outdoor products, construction and home improvement, and digital manufacturing solutions. The event provides a one-stop sourcing platform for professional buyers from around the world.

“‘The world’s tools are in Taiwan, and Taiwan’s tools are in Taichung’ is not just a slogan — it’s the true reflection of our industry,” Xie emphasized.

Taichung has long been the hub of Taiwan’s hand tool manufacturing cluster, recognized worldwide for precision, flexibility, and high quality. With world-class production capabilities, Taiwanese suppliers are known for rapid order fulfillment, on-time delivery, and continuous innovation, showcasing the resilience and reliability of Taiwan-made products.

Front Store, Back Factory: Connecting Buyers and Manufacturers

Facing today’s rapidly changing global economy — including U.S. tariffs, supply chain restructuring, sustainability goals, and the rise of AI and digital manufacturing — Taiwan’s hardware sector is actively transforming and upgrading.

This year’s TiTE×IHT aims to promote a “front store, back factory” model, enabling buyers to place instant orders at the show while local factories respond swiftly to production and delivery. The goal is to create a highly efficient and interactive trade ecosystem, allowing global buyers to capture opportunities in real time and deepen partnerships with Taiwan’s trusted suppliers.

“The exhibition is not only a platform for product displays but also a bridge for technology exchange, business expansion, and future collaboration,” Xie added. “We sincerely welcome global buyers and partners to visit, witness the innovative strength of Taiwan’s hardware and tools industry, and join us in shaping a new chapter for the sector.”
