India’s Economic Surge Draws Taiwanese Machine Tool Makers to IMTEX FORMING 2026
2026/01/22 | By Sherry ChenIMTEX FORMING 2026, India’s largest and most internationally representative metal forming machine tool exhibition, opened yesterday in Bengaluru and runs through Jan. 25. Organized by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA), the event underscores India’s expanding role as a global manufacturing hub. The previous edition in 2024 attracted 625 exhibitors from 20 countries and nearly 45,000 buyers.

The International Monetary Fund forecasted India to surpass Japan in 2026, becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy; if annual growth remains above 6 percent, India may overtake Germany by 2030. Since the launch of the “Made in India” initiative in 2014, the policy has continued to stimulate investment and industrial upgrading.
At the exhibition, CENS / Economic Daily News is publishing “Taiwan’s Professional Machinery Industry Magazine” on-site, offering procurement buyers with matchmaking services with premium Taiwanese suppliers. Taiwan’s pavilion, located in Hall 5, features exhibitors including PMI, ROYAL, TSPT, Hardy (Hann Kuen), JING DUANN, SANES PRESSES, Chiu Ta Hydraulics, R.F.H. International, LianYi Machinery , and Westar . In addition, companies such as Seyi, Ingyu, Hiwin, Chin Fong, and Tailift are participating through local subsidiaries or distributors, collectively showcasing Taiwan’s metal forming, stamping equipment, and precision transmission technologies.
Looking ahead, the biennial TIMTOS 2027, co-hosted by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry and TAITRA, will take place in Taipei from March 2 to 7, 2027, offering a global platform for industry leaders to advance smart, green, and sustainable manufacturing.
