K 2025: Driving Innovation in the Global Plastics Industry

It serves as a comprehensive marketplace and innovation platform that spans the entire supply chain—from machinery and equipment to raw materials, auxiliaries, semi-finished products, and technical parts. Each edition showcases state-of-the-art production technology, highlights advances in sustainability and the circular economy, and addresses key industry challenges. The upcoming 2025 edition will be held under the motto “The Power of Plastics! Green—Smart—Responsible”, underscoring the industry’s commitment to sustainable innovation and digitalization.
The last edition in 2022 attracted 3,020 exhibitors from 59 nations and filled 177,516 square meters of net exhibition space. A total of 177,486 trade visitors from 169 countries attended, with 71% coming from abroad. The top visiting countries included the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, France, the USA, Belgium, India, Brazil, Poland, and Spain. More than half of the visitors came seeking new suppliers, and 46% reported successfully establishing new business partnerships—figures that underscore the global appeal and strong business value of K.
K 2025 will take place from October 8 to 15, 2025, in Düsseldorf. Organizers expect around 3,200 exhibitors from 66 countries, fully booking over 177,000 m² of net space across 18 halls. Robust participation is expected from European nations such as Germany, Italy, Turkey, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Spain, alongside major contingents from China, India, Taiwan, and the United States.
Guided by three central themes—Shaping the Circular Economy, Embracing Digitalization, and Caring about People—K 2025 will feature a wide range of special forums and programs. Highlights include the “Plastics Shape the Future” forum with themed days and keynote sessions; the VDMA forum “The Power of Plastics” with a focus on circularity; the Start-Up Zone for young companies; the Science Campus showcasing cutting-edge research; and new initiatives such as the Young Talents Lounge and Women in Plastics. These programs aim to foster innovation, sustainability, and talent development, while reinforcing the show’s pivotal role as a catalyst for industry transformation.
With its reputation as the world’s No. 1 plastics and rubber trade fair, K continues to set benchmarks for innovation and international business. The 2025 edition is poised to surpass previous records, offering exhibitors and visitors alike a premier platform to showcase innovations, build global partnerships, and shape the future of plastics.
