Consumer Lifestyle Shifts and EV Expansion Fueling Indonesia's Automotive Aftermarket Industry
2026/02/02 | By CENSIndonesia’s automotive aftermarket is set for rapid growth in 2026, a trend driven by both surging consumer demand for personalization and lifestyle accessories and increased industry focus on the sector. The market for automotive aftermarket parts in Indonesia is specifically projected to expand at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5.2% between 2024 and 2030. Consumers are increasingly seeking more than just a vehicle; they want a personalized experience and a robust support ecosystem.
Indonesia's government is pushing to have 2.5 million EV users by 2025. This rapid expansion signals a significant upcoming demand for EV-related aftermarket services and components. Given that Indonesia is a global source for nickel—a key battery material—the country's goal of becoming an EV manufacturing hub is highly achievable, which will, in turn, boost the local production of EV aftermarket parts.
The expansion of automotive industry in Indonesia also observed from the successful conclusion of INAPA 2025¸which was held in Jakarta and organized by GEM Indonesia. INAPA 2025 successfully brought together over 1,400 exhibitors from 26 countries and over 30,800 visitors from 76 countries. For three days, professionals from the automotive industry came together to discover the latest market trends and solutions. They also forged key business partnerships and gained valuable insights from forum led by 37 expert speakers who shared their knowledge on cutting-edge technologies.
